M3 Jnct 9 upgrade - Planned closures

• Overnight on Wednesday 16, Thursday 17, Friday 18, and Saturday 19 September (8pm to 6am) we are closing the A34 northbound from junction 9 to Three Maids Hill - Vegetation clearance
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: A34 northbound diversion
• Overnight from Monday 28 September until Friday 9 October (8pm to 6am - excluding weekends) we are closing Easton Lane westbound (towards Tesco) - Southwest subway excavation works
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: Easton Lane westbound diversion
• Overnight on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October (8pm to 6am) we are closing the M3 northbound exit slip road - Southwest subway excavation works
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: M3 northbound exit slip road diversion

***Important Information***

From Monday 14 September until late November 2026 Easton Lane westbound towards Tesco will be reduced to one lane. This to allow work to start on the embankment and the old southwest subway.

Don't Forget - M3 junction 9 northbound entry slip road will be closed from 9pm Friday 31 July 2026 until winter 2027 – this means there will be no access the M3 northbound from the roundabout.

The diversion routes are designed to suit all vehicle types.

You are advised not to use a Satnav when following any of the diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the network when it is closed.
