Commitees and Working Groups

The Council may delegate specific issues or concerns to a Working Group or Committee of the Council to investigate and/or recommend a decision to the Council.

Committee meetings are held in public but Working Group meetings need not be. Formal Working Groups include the Clerk who arranges the agenda, takes the minutes and arranges for assigned tasks to be carried out.

Informal Working Groups are not minuted by the Clerk.  The Chair of the Working Group will be expected to provide an update to the Council at the next meeting following the Working Group Meeting.

The Terms of Reference for all the Committees/Working Groups is published below as well as the specific terms of reference for individual Working Groups and Committees. Please see other parts of the Website for more information on what each Working Group is achieving.

Currently the HWPC operates a Committee to deal specifically with Kings Barton matters which meets monthly and a Committee to deal with Headbourne Worthy village matters.
