M3 Jnct 9 upgrade - Planned closures

Weekend closure date:

• 9pm Friday 11 September to 6am on Monday 14 September 2026

Weekend Closure Details/Locations

• A34 southbound will be closed from Bullington Cross
• A34 northbound will be closed to Three Maids Hill, also closing the A33 northbound
• The A33 southbound will be closed from the Cart and Horses junction
• Easton Lane will be closed both north and southbound at the Easton Lane Roundabout
• The A272 will be closed both northbound and southbound from the Spitfire roundabout (A31)
• All M3 junction 9 entry and exit slip roads will be closed both northbound and southbound

***Important Information***

From Monday 14 September until late November 2026 Easton Lane westbound towards Tesco will be reduced to one lane. This to allow work to start on the embankment and the old southwest subway.

Don't Forget - M3 junction 9 northbound entry slip road will be closed from 9pm Friday 31 July 2026 until winter 2027 – this means there will be no access the M3 northbound from the roundabout.

The diversion routes are designed to suit all vehicle types.

You are advised not to use a Satnav when following any of the diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the network when it is closed.
