Winchester City Council is conducting a Community Governance Review for the Winchester area in order to create a new Town Council in Winchester in order to provide a local council in the unparished area of Winchester.

This review will effect residents of Kings Barton, who are being asked if they would like to join the new Winchester Town Council or have their own Parish Council or stay with Headbourne Worthy. Residents of Headbourne Worthy are also invited to give their opinion because there are possibly consequences for the Headbourne Worthy Parish if Kings Barton goes it own way.

Headbourne Worthy Parish Council has prepared a leaflet (which has been delivered to everyone's home) concerning areas that residents may like to consider when making their choices. It is attached to this news posting.
