M3 junction 9 improvements project update - 29/08

There will be M3 urgent overnight closures tonight (29 August) between junctions 9 and 8 northbound. This is to repair damaged crash cushion. The contractors apologise for the short notice.

The overnight closure is planned to start from 9pm but this can change depending on the volume of traffic and when the lanes can be closed safely. The closure is expected to be on for about 2 to 3 hours, depending on any issues faced on the night, which may impact the opening time.

Overnight closure:

• On Friday 29 August we are closing the M3 northbound between junctions 9 and 8.
  • Diversion: M3 northbound junctions 9 and 8 diversion

Diversion routes are designed to suit all vehicle types.

Satnav is not recommended when following any of the diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the closed network.
