M3 junction 9 improvements project update - 14/08

There will be an A34 southbound overnight closure on the 20 August 2025. This is needed for essential drainage and vegetation maintenance works.

The contractors will continue to carry out work during the daytime. While some of the activities will take place away from the road, you may see workers and machinery nearby.

The overnight closures are planned to usually start from 9pm and end by 6am, but this can change depending on the volume of traffic and when they can close the lanes safely.

Overnight closure:

• On Thursday 20 August they are closing the A34 southbound.

• Diversion: A34/A33 southbound diversion

The diversion routes are designed to suit all vehicle types. It is recommended that you do not use a Satnav when following any of the diversions. This because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto our network when it is closed.
