M3 junction 9 improvements project update - 05/08

There will be M3 overnight closures on the 8 August in both directions between junctions 9 and 8. This is to repair damaged crash cushion, and the cotnractors will need to do Temporary Vehicle Restraint System replacement.

Work will continue during the daytime. While some of the activities take place away from the road, you may see workers and machinery nearby.

The overnight closures are planned to start from 9pm and end by 6am, but this can change depending on the volume of traffic and when the lanes can be closed safely.

Overnight closures:

• On Friday 8 August they are closing the M3 northbound between junctions 9 and 8.

• Diversion: M3 northbound junctions 9 and 8 diversion

• On Friday 8 August they are closing the M3 southbound between junctions 8 and 9.

• Diversion: M3 northbound junctions 8 and 9 diversion

Diversion routes are designed to suit all vehicle types.

Satnav is not recommended when following any of the diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the closed network.
