Free bus travel in August for under 16s

This August, fares for children under 16 on our Kings Barton KB1 service are being removed supported by the UK Government’s decision to make bus travel free this August, helping families make the most of days out this summer as part of their Great British Summer Savings.

Holidays can be a challenging time for families, when cost of living pressures can make days out unaffordable before you even leave the house. Thanks to Great British Summer Savings, the cost of taking children on the Kings Barton KB1 service will be removed throughout August, so you can save some cash before you've even reached your destination.

From 1st –31st August inclusive, the Government is funding free bus travel for children on bus routes in England making it cheaper for families to go out for meals, visit the theatre and cinema.

With a reduction in VAT on all tickets for attractions like soft play, amusement parks, and museums the Great British Summer Savings will help you and your family see and do more this summer.
