M3 Jnct 9 upgrade - Planned closures

• Overnight from Wednesday 29 April to Friday 8 May the contractors are closing the A272 both northbound and southbound (8pm to 6am) – Surfacing works and A272 gyratory island build.
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: A272 Spitfire Link closure northbound and southbound
• Overnight on Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6, Thursday 7, Friday 8, Saturday 9, and Sunday 10 May the contractors are closing the M3 both northbound and southbound between junctions 8 and 9 (8pm to 6am) – New bridge works and vegetation removal
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: M3 junction 9 to 8 northbound and southbound diversion
• Overnight on Monday 11 May the contractors are closing the section of the gyratory between Easton Lane exit and entry (8pm to 6am) – Traffic Management switch on the gyratory
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: Easton Lane exit and entry diversion
• Overnight on Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13, Thursday 14, Friday 15, and Saturday 16 May as well as Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 May the contractors are closing the A34 northbound from junction 9 to Three Maids Hill - Vegetation clearance and Traffic Management switch
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: A34 northbound diversion
• Overnight on Sunday 17, Monday 18, Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 May as well as Friday 29 May the contractors are closing the A34 at Three Maids Hill southbound and the A33 southbound from the Cart and Horse junction - Vegetation clearance
  • Switch off satnav and follow signed diversion: A34/A33 southbound diversions

The diversion routes are designed to suit all vehicle types.

You are advised not to use a Satnav when following any of the diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the network when it is closed.
