New Play Equipment Installation at the Dell in Headbourne Worthy

On a sunny afternoon Thursday 17th Septmeber 2019, and as part of the always impressive Worthy’s Festival, the Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Eleanor Bell, visited The Dell in Headbourne Worthy for the official opening of the new children’s play equipment. The new play equipment has been installed by Headbourne Worthy Parish Council  to both motivate the children to play outside and inspire them imaginatively. Chair of the Parish Council, Cllr Claire Welland said “This play equipment is designed to provide an outside area for the community children to get together, to play safely and have fun.”

The Council went through a thorough tendering process that took into consideration the wishes of local parents and residents, before deciding on the local provider, Vitaplay. Some of the VitaPlay installers joined Councillors, parents and children at the opening ceremony when the Mayor toasted the installation, cut the ribbon and declared the play equipment open to all. Local parents expressed how pleased they were with a round of applause whilst the children then got stuck in!
